Completed LSF Maintenance Bay
Taylor Rail have installed the fixed track rails to very high tolerances (+/- 2mm but in most cases +/- 1mm) that have exceeded our client’s expectations.
With its partner Category5, in September 2024, Taylor Rail was contracted by Degnan to deliver 1025 lineal m of external (ballasted) plain track and 120 lineal m of fixed track within the LSF and all associated overhead traction.
As part of the High-Capacity Metro Trains (HCMT) Project, a plan to build and maintain 65 new high-capacity trains for the Melbourne metropolitan network, the LSF is now being constructed in Melbourne’s Calder Park precinct by Degnan.
