Parkes Terminal Project

The Parkes Phase 2 rail terminal expansion included comprehensive civil, rail, and services works was completed in March 2026.
Ahead of the main construction phase, Taylor Rail was responsible for all material testing, survey, design, establishment of site facilities, including construction water, access roads, and borrow pits.
Taylor Rail's self-performed model saw a majority off the project built using internal plant and workforce. Combined with local SME-owned equipment, we ensured a reliable supply chain and lower operational costs that benefited our valuable customer, Pacific National.
Despite some challenging weather conditions during the earthworks phase, the terminal was delivered in a timely manner ensuring the RTG commissioning and commencement of operation were achieved on time and without delay to our client and most importantly without interruption to Pacific National’s concurrent freight operations.
