Dry Creek Track Lowering Project Underway

Enhancing freight capacity and efficiency

Taylor Rail has commenced work on the Dry Creek Track Lowering Project, a significant infrastructure upgrade that will enhance the freight capability of Aurizon's Dry Creek Rail Terminal. Upon completion, the project will enable the movement of double-stacked container trains between the terminal's north and south yards, improving operational efficiency and increasing freight capacity.

Over the next four months, our team will deliver a range of civil and rail infrastructure works, including the construction of new retaining walls, lowering of access roads, drainage improvements, and the relocation of electrical assets. These enabling works will culminate in a critical ten-day rail possession, during which the rail line beneath the Port Wakefield Road Bridge will be lowered.

The Dry Creek Track Lowering Project renews Taylor Rail Australia's engagement with Aurizon and represents an exciting opportunity to demonstrate our capability to deliver complex rail infrastructure projects. By combining innovative engineering solutions with a strong focus on safety, quality, and collaboration, we look forward to successfully delivering another critical piece of Australia's freight network.
